Ground Floor

The Gillbrae Auditorium

The Auditorium is off the central Avenue near to the café and Avenue Rooms 1 and 2. It is the largest room in the centre (floor area 425m2) and will accommodate 400 people in theatre-style seating or 280 in banquet-style.

Cornerstone Cafe & Avenue Area

The Cornerstone Café is at the main entrance to the Centre and opens into the full height atrium area known as the Avenue. There is a large catering kitchen with two serveries - one is for the café and one for the Avenue rooms – providing a range of food, drinks and light meals for the Centre users and the public during café hours, 10-4 Tuesday to Saturday.

The Gillbrae Sports Hall

The sports hall is a large, multi-functional space of 325m2 complete with three changing areas with showers, lockers and toilets. It is fitted with a sprung floor and very effective sound absorption panels to ensure it is suitable for a wide range of sporting and non-sport events such as children’s parties/clubs, dances, exhibitions, workshops etc. This hall can be used as a self-contained facility or in conjunction with other areas.

Avenue Room 1

Avenue Rooms 1 and 2 are located on the ground floor, off the Avenue. These rooms each have a floor area of 48m2 and can be hired individually (18 seated classroom-style and up to 50 theatre-style), or as one large suite for up to 100 delegates seated theatre-style, 80 banquet-style and 50 classroom-style. Room 2 has a sound system, data projector and screen that can serve both rooms when used together.

Avenue Room 2

Avenue Rooms 1 and 2 are located on the ground floor, off the Avenue. These rooms each have a floor area of 48m2 and can be hired individually (18 seated classroom-style and up to 50 theatre-style), or as one large suite for up to 100 delegates seated theatre-style, 80 banquet-style and 50 classroom-style.
